Cape Cod's holiday calendar fills up from Thanksgiving weekend through December: village strolls, lighted parades, Santa arriving by boat, holiday markets and a garden full of lights. Below are the events that have announced 2026 dates so far, each linked to its listing (Falmouth's schedule is still marked tentative), followed by the big strolls we couldn't find 2026 dates for yet. We'll update this guide as organizers announce.
Thanksgiving weekend: November 27–29
Gardens Aglow at Heritage Museums & Gardens, Sandwich. Gardens Aglow 2026 runs November 27–29, December 2–6, December 8–13, December 15–23 and December 26–27, from 4:30 to 8:30 PM nightly with last entry at 8 PM [1]. General admission for non-members is $30 for adults and $20 for youth ages 3–17; children 2 and under are free but need a reservation, and Heritage strongly advises buying online in advance because walk-up sales aren't guaranteed [1].
The Cape Cod Christmas Market, Mashpee. A three-day holiday market at the Naukabout Beer Garden, 4 Job's Fishing Road, open 11 AM to 2 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 27–29. Admission is free, and the organizers promise handcrafted gifts from local artisans, festive food and warm drinks, live entertainment, visits with Santa and an annual community food drive [2].
First weekend of December: December 4–6
Most of the 2026 dates announced so far land on this weekend.
Falmouth Holidays by the Sea (December 4–6). The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce has posted a tentative 2026 schedule that it says is subject to change, and asks people to call 508-548-8500 to confirm. Its events are held rain or shine [3]:
- Friday, Dec. 4, 5–8 PM: Nobska Lighthouse Holiday Open House, trolley-only arrival; caroling in Woods Hole village starts at 5:30 PM [3].
- Saturday, Dec. 5, 10:30 AM: Seafaring Santa arrives by boat at Falmouth Harbor [3].
- Saturday, Dec. 5, 3 PM: the 15th annual GhELF Run, followed by the 15th annual Jingle Jog 5K [3].
- Saturday, Dec. 5, 4–8 PM: Falmouth Village Holiday Stroll, with the lighting of the Village Green at 6 PM [3].
- Sunday, Dec. 6, noon: the 63rd annual Falmouth Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, stepping off from Dillingham Avenue and Davis Straits and running along Main Street to the Village Green [3].
Holly Folly kickoff weekend, Provincetown (December 4–6). The Provincetown Chamber of Commerce lists Holly Folly's kickoff weekend for Friday through Sunday, December 4–6, 2026 [4].
Brewster Band Holiday Concert (Friday, December 4, 7 PM). At Brewster Baptist Church, held in conjunction with the Brewster Chamber of Commerce's "Brewster for the Holidays," with classic arrangements and pop selections [5].
Merry Market & Fireworks at Wequassett, Harwich (Saturday, December 5, 1–5 PM). Wequassett Resort and Golf Club's annual holiday market and fireworks along Pleasant Bay, at 2173 Head of the Bay Road (Route 28) [6].
Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll (Sunday, December 6, 1–4 PM). Along Route 6A in Yarmouth Port, hosted by the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce, the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth and Yarmouth Community and Economic Development [7].
Saturday, December 12: Mashpee's Season of Illumination Parade
The Mashpee Chamber of Commerce has announced its 20th annual Season of Illumination Parade, co-hosted with Mashpee Commons, for Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 13 Steeple St., Mashpee. The listing shows a 6:30 PM start while its description says 6:00 PM, so arrive early [8].

The Polar Express Train Ride
Cape Cod Central Railroad's Polar Express page said "Tickets for 2026 now available!" when we checked on October 26, 2026. Trains depart from 70 Main Street in Buzzards Bay, and the ticket page lists an opening-weekend fare valid 11/20–11/22 [9].
